If you follow Fixer Uppers Chip and Joanna Gaines on Twitter and Instagram then you have heard the announcement that they are expecting their fifth child together! Chip posted the cutest trail of hints during the airing of last night’s episode of Fixer Upper that led us all to the announcement that they were expecting.
On last night’s episode of Fixer Upper, Chip and Joanna were working on a flip house when they found out that Joanna’s sister, Mikey and her husband, David were moving to Waco with their five kids. During the course of the renovation, Joanna had this great idea that Mikey and David should buy their flip house. After presenting the design plans to Mikey, Joanna found out that Mikey and David were expecting their sixth child and they needed to add an extra locker for an extra child in their entryway.
During last night’s episode, Chip was tweeting when things pointed to Mikey’s pregnancy adding hints. By the end of the episode, we found out that Joanna and Chip were hinting that they are now expecting a baby! After that, Chip posted the cutest picture of him and Joanna comparing their “baby bumps” confirming on Instagram.
This morning, Joanna tweeted an ultrasound video of the baby’s heartbeat saying that Chip swears he can “tell it’s a boy already.”

Chip and Joanna have been married for 14 years and are parents to Drake, 12, Ella, 11, Duke, 9, and Emmie Kay, 7.
