Fixer Upper ‘Barndominium’ Back Up For Sale

Remember the Fixer Upper Barndominium from Season 3? It’s back up for sale and could be yours, if you can afford all the drama that goes with it.

After issues with the local government over attempts the run short term rentals out of the property the current owner is putting the Fixer Upper redesigned horse barn back on the market for someone else to have as their own.

Owner Kristi Bass purchased the property from the couple we saw in the Season 3 episode, Todd and Lexia, and attempted to open it up for visitors and tourists. That didn’t go over to well with neighbors and the city, according to the Waco Tribune-Herald:

Neighbors of the 16-acre property on Spring Creek Drive repeatedly showed up to Lacy Lakeview City Council meetings in force with lengthy lists of reason they did not want a business operating on the dead-end street. Neighbors said if a business operated in a property zoned residential it would affect property values, increase traffic, cause sewer problems and hurt the quality of life of the area, among other matters.

While the city has rejected Bass’s attempts at permits for a vacation rental, the Fixer Upper Barndominium is currently on VRBO with a 5-star rating and is available for rentals. Better be 5-stars at an average listed rate of $1,200 a night and a 2-night minimum!

The Infamous BARNDOMINUM is now available for your friends & family to enjoy! As most recall, this Luxuriously appointed, fully renovated barn boasts 5 Bedrooms, a “Grand Dining Hall” (that still seats an army).

Hmm, I might reword the description and not use “infamous,” but okay. You better hurry up if you’d like to stay there though because Bass’s sister has posted the Barndominium is about to hit the market. Can’t wait to see its listing price if the nightly rentals are that high!
