Flip Or Flop Vegas Season 2 Episode 4 Recap: Dog Pound to Showstopper

Flip or Flop Vegas stars Bristol and Aubrey found a great exterior fixer-upper in the perfect Vegas neighborhood. But the couple soon learn that true beauty might not be from within. The home was a smelly mess inside–there was rot, dog urine smells, and gaping holes. It was in one of the worse conditions we’ve seen on Flip or Flop Vegas.

The home was listed at $215,000 but there was no way Bristol or Aubrey were paying that much for it. Instead they put in an offer of $200,000, which still seemed like too much to us. The seller accepted their offer; it’s time to tear the house down to build it up. The first major issue that they encounter is the overwhelming pee smell–Bristol quickly learns that there is mold in the walls from the dog urine. They need to remove all the drywall from the house and put up a new batch.

The next big issue is created by Aubrey. She wants the marble floor to have a little more glamour, so she suggests that they make cuts in the marble to add some mosaic prints. It extends their work by three extra days, but it seems worth it because they both love the results. We do as well. From there, it’s pretty much smooth waters. They add new plants to the backyard, add an aqua color to most of the rooms, and add some cool touches like French sliding doors and a glittery tile finish.

The interior of this home was a complete mess so anything would have been a huge improvement, but Aubrey and Bristol did not disappoint. They made this home prime real estate, not only was it in a great area for families and singles, but the house was gorgeous without going too theme-y or ‘glamourous.’ It seemed luxurious without seeming tacky. The aqua color really works with the marble running through the home, and Aubrey did another great job at staging. Every one of her little extra design and styling touches worked to make this home appealing.

Bristol and Aubrey decide to play it safe by listing it for $265,000 (which seemed a little low to us). They ended up putting in $22,000 in addition to the buying cost of $200,000. It sold for $269,000 after one day on the market. After paying An additional $10,760 for closing costs, Aubrey and Bristol made a profit of $36,440.

Whoever bought that home got a steal because it really looked more expensive than the listed price. But we guess that it’s better to play it safe than to list it for too much and risk not selling it at all.
